Job summary

Arup is seeking a senior power systems engineer to join our technical consulting team in Australia. The role focuses on energy projects across Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne, including solar PV, wind and battery storage, with opportunities to influence Australian and international assignments.

You will contribute to power systems studies, substation design, and renewable energy analyses, modelling networks and preparing GPS/RUG documents, while mentoring junior engineers and engaging directly

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering required.
5+ years of power systems experience.
Proficiency in Python, PSCAD, PSSE, or PowerFactory.

Responsibilities

Contribute to power systems studies, substation design and renewable energy studies.
Work on network modelling (steady state and dynamic) and GPS/RUG preparation.
Support submission of Connection Agreements and Generator Registrations for NEM clients.
Mentor and support junior engineers across project teams.
Engage with clients and stakeholders delivering expert technical solutions.
