Job summary

Enemix is seeking a Power Systems Engineer to join the team in Adelaide, SA, focusing on network connections and system studies. You will model, simulate, and analyze power networks, evaluating new connection projects and their impact on grid operations.

The role involves developing and maintaining models, performing protection and stability studies, and contributing to grid code compliance while supporting renewable integration and documentation for planning studies.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems or related field.
Proficiency with PSSE, PSCAD and PowerFactory for modeling and analysis.
Knowledge of grid connection processes and transmission system operations.
Programming ability in Python or similar language.
Understanding of National Electricity Rules and grid codes.

Responsibilities

Modeling, simulation, and analysis of power systems using PSSE, PSCAD, and PowerFactory.
Evaluate power network connection projects and assess grid impact.
Develop and maintain power system models, including testing and commissioning.
Analyze system capability, security, and transfer capability.
Support integration of renewables like wind, solar, and storage.
Prepare technical reports and documentation for grid connection and planning.
Collaborate with network operators, stakeholders, and customers on project execution.
Stay updated on industry developments and regulatory frameworks.
