EnergyCo NSW in Sydney is hiring a Power System Analysis Engineer to undertake power system modelling and analysis that supports Renewable Energy Zone infrastructure and a secure, reliable electricity network over the NSW 20-year horizon. You will work with experienced engineers, stakeholders and government partners on major projects.

You are an electrical engineer with experience in power system planning or analysis and an interest in renewable energy integration.

Salary range from $148,380 to $155,764 plus super and leave loading.

Ongoing fulltime roles at 35 hours per week plus FlexTime.

Location: Sydney location & Hybrid working from home and office supported.

About the Opportunity

Join EnergyCo and play a key role in supporting the delivery of NSW’s renewable energy future. As a Power System Analysis Engineer, you will undertake power system modelling and analysis that supports the successful integration of Renewable Energy Zone (REZ) infrastructure, helping to deliver a secure, reliable and sustainable electricity network. Working alongside experienced engineers, industry stakeholders and government partners, you will contribute to major infrastructure projects, provide technical insights, and help develop innovative solutions that support the state's energy transformation.

About You

You are an engineer with experience in power system planning, modelling or analysis and a genuine interest in renewable energy integration. Ideally, you will be able to hit the ground running, bringing practical experience with power system studies and a solid understanding of the electricity network. However, we are equally interested in candidates who have strong foundational technical skills and are ready to take the next step in their career within a supportive and high-performing team. You are proactive, curious and motivated to learn, with a willingness to tackle complex technical challenges and contribute to meaningful infrastructure outcomes. Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills will help you build effective working relationships across industry, government and project teams, while your collaborative approach and focus on delivering quality outcomes will enable you to thrive in a fast-paced and evolving environment.

Essential Requirements

• Degree in electrical engineering or equivalent relevant experience.

The Energy Corporation of NSW (EnergyCo) is a statutory corporation established under the Energy and Utilities Administration Act 1987 and governed by its Board, appointed by the Minister for Energy. EnergyCo is a Staff Agency employing all EnergyCo staff and is an agency related to the Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water (DCCEEW). EnergyCo plays a pivotal role in the NSW Government’s Electricity Infrastructure Roadmap , which aims to transform the state’s electricity system into one that is cheap, clean, and reliable. As Infrastructure Planner under the Electricity Infrastructure Investment Act 2020, EnergyCo is responsible for leading the delivery of the State’s first five Renewable Energy Zones (REZs) and the first two priority network infrastructure projects (PTIPs), which are located in the Central-West Orana, New England, South West, Hunter-Central Coast, and Illawarra regions. We work closely with communities, investors, and industry to investigate, plan, recommend and coordinate generation, storage and network infrastructure projects.
