Job summary

ATCO is seeking an experienced Production Specialist (Operator/Maintainer) to join the Osborne Cogeneration Power Plant in South Australia. This full-time role operates across a rotating shift roster, focusing on safe, reliable plant performance.

The successful candidate will report to the Production Manager and contribute to maintenance, administration and ongoing management of the station, ensuring compliance with safety, licensing and operational standards.

Qualifications

• Trade or technical qualification in a relevant discipline.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in power station operations or similar heavy industrial environment.
• Boiler and Turbine Operation licences are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain boiler, turbine and related plant systems per safety and licensing requirements.
• Perform routine and unplanned maintenance to maximise availability and efficiency.
• Ensure plant dispatch complies with contractual obligations and AEM/AEMO rules.
• Prepare work permits, risk assessments and manage isolations.
• Lead small projects and support housekeeping to maintain a safe workplace.
