Job summary

CEA Technologies in Melbourne is seeking a Level 2 Power Electronics Engineer to join our Power Electronics Engineering Design Team. You will design, measure, document, and research power electronics tasks across the domain within a multidisciplinary team.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical/Electronics with 3–8 years of relevant experience, hands-on power electronics work, and strong QA knowledge.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical/Electronics) or higher with 3–8 years experience in power electronic circuit and/or electrical system design.
• Strong knowledge of power electronics theory and QA processes.
• Hands-on experience with equipment above 5kW and analogue/digital control systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed power electronics circuit and system design with minimal supervision.
• Source and select components and contribute to PCB CAD.
• Plan and execute testing from prototype to system level.
• Collaborate with RF, Hardware, Software and Mechanical teams.
• Provide support to production and write technical documentation.
• Deliver internal technical presentations and contribute to R&D projects.
