Michael Page's client, a public sector organisation based in Kingscliff, is seeking a data analytics professional to design and optimise Power BI dashboards and SQL reporting. You will work on large datasets, interface with stakeholders and deliver reliable insights.

This contract role in a hybrid Kingscliff environment offers hands-on analytics exposure, SSMS, Power Query, Report Builder, and Excel expertise to drive data-led decisions across the organisation.

Qualifications

• Proficient in building Power BI dashboards and reports.
• Strong SQL query writing and database analysis skills.
• Experience with data transformation and modelling.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports.
• Develop complex SQL queries and work with SQL Server databases.
• Use SSMS to interrogate, validate and manage data.
• Create and optimise Power Query data models and transformations.
• Develop and maintain Report Builder reports.
• Automate recurring reporting and scheduling processes.
• Analyse large and complex datasets and identify trends, risks and opportunities.
• Respond to ad hoc data requests and stakeholder enquiries.
• Ensure data integrity, accuracy and quality across reporting outputs.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of analytics tools, systems and processes.
