Job summary

VicRoads is seeking a talented Business Intelligence Developer to enable data-driven decision making by designing, developing and continually improving BI solutions and self-service tools. You will transform trusted enterprise data into insights that support performance, workforce planning and strategic objectives.

In this role you will design Power BI dashboards, partner with stakeholders, and apply best-practice visualization techniques to communicate insights while driving self-service

Qualifications

• Experience in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics or Power BI development.
• Advanced Power BI skills, including DAX, Power Query, data modelling and visualisation best practices.
• Strong analytical capability to turn data into business insights.
• Experience translating business requirements into reporting and performance measurement solutions.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Designing, developing and maintaining Power BI dashboards, reports and analytical products.
• Partnering with stakeholders to understand business challenges and translate requirements into reporting solutions.
• Applying best-practice data visualisation and storytelling to communicate insights.
• Driving adoption of self-service reporting and improving data literacy across the business.
• Supporting business improvement initiatives through performance reporting and outcomes measurement.
• Collaborating with Enterprise Data Platform teams to maximise trusted data sources.
