Job summary

VicRoads in Melbourne is seeking a talented Business Intelligence Developer to join our Customer Service Planning team. You will design, develop and continuously improve BI solutions, reports and self-service tools to transform trusted enterprise data into actionable insights that support performance and customer outcomes.

You'll develop Power BI dashboards, promote self-service analytics, and help establish a single source of truth for operational reporting, working closely with stakeholders

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in BI, Data Analytics or Power BI development.
• Advanced Power BI skills including DAX, Power Query, data modelling and visualisation best practices.
• Strong analytical capability to translate complex data into practical business insights.
• Experience gathering and translating business requirements into reporting and performance measurement solutions.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• Experience developing KPI frameworks and operational reporting solutions.
• Relevant tertiary qualifications in Data Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Business or related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Designing, developing and maintaining Power BI dashboards, reports and analytical products.
• Partnering with stakeholders to translate requirements into reporting solutions.
• Applying data visualisation and storytelling to communicate insights.
• Promoting self-service reporting and improving data literacy across the business.
• Supporting performance reporting and benefits realisation initiatives.
• Collaborating with Enterprise Data Platform teams to maximise trusted data sources.
