Job summary

atWork Australia is seeking a BI & Analytics professional to support the organisation's reporting and analytics needs. You will help migrate assets to Databricks, design scalable data models and build robust Power BI dashboards to enable data-driven decisions.

The role focuses on delivering high-quality reporting solutions, improving governance, and collaborating with stakeholders across multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience with Databricks in a reporting/analytics environment.
• Strong Power BI development experience including dashboards and data models.
• Solid SQL skills with SQL Server environments.
• Experience designing and optimizing data models for reporting and analytics.
• Understanding of BI best practices, data governance, and reporting standards.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities across multiple projects and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Support migration of reporting and data assets from SQL Server to Databricks.
• Design and implement robust data models aligned with BI best practices.
• Develop, maintain and enhance Power BI dashboards and reports.
• Refactor existing reports to improve usability, performance and governance.
• Write and optimize SQL queries to extract, transform and validate data.
• Build DAX measures and semantic models to support business decisions.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and deliver insights.
• Support continuous improvement across reporting, analytics and data management.
