Northeast Health Wangaratta (NHW) is inviting applications for a Part Time, 2 Year Fixed Term contract in 2027–2028. This NHW program partners with universities to offer a Post Graduate Diploma in Nursing or Master of Nursing, enabling practicing Registered Nurses to advance while employed.

The initiative emphasizes multidisciplinary, holistic, patient-centred care delivered in a flexible, blended learning format with mentoring from a dedicated clinical support and educator team.

Qualifications

Northeast Health Wangaratta (NHW) is the major health provider in the Central Hume region with an extensive range of acute, sub-acute, aged care and community services.

If you are a registered nurse and would like to explore post graduate study through an employment based training program this opportunity may be for you!Northeast Health Wangaratta in partnership with Universities are inviting application for Post Graduate Diploma in Nursing or Master of Nursing in 2027.Students will learn how to recognise, respond to, and manage patients with acute presentations and evaluate care delivery to improve patient experience and outcomes.The emphasis is on multidisciplinary, holistic, patient centred care that is evidence-based.

The courses provide registered nurse working at Northeast Health Wangaratta access to a wide variety of specialisations.The course is delivered in a flexible, blended learning approach that combines face-to-face workshops with online study and practical tutorials that fit around your work commitments in your own hospital's relevant work setting with mentoring and supervision from a dedicated clinical support and educator team.

NHW will be supporting students to study the Graduate Certificate of Critical Care Nursing through Deakin university. This program is a work integrated learning model that prepares students to specialise in Emergency nursing and Intensive Care nursing specialties.
