Job summary

Morgan Mckinley is seeking an experienced Portfolio Manager in New South Wales to provide governance, assurance and delivery support across project portfolios.

This role offers collaboration with key stakeholders and work within an Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO) to ensure projects are governed, supported and delivered to customer-focused outcomes.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in project and portfolio management.
• Proven experience working within an Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO).
• Strong stakeholder management across diverse business functions.
• Proven ability to deliver customer-focused outcomes.
• Strong Excel skills and data analysis capabilities.
• Exposure to SAP PPM and SAP PS is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support project portfolios in line with their project management methodology.
• Provide project governance and assurance, ensuring controls, processes and reporting are maintained.
• Provide project delivery support, expertise and guidance to project teams and portfolio stakeholders.
• Work collaboratively with Procurement, Legal, Health and Safety and other corporate functions.
• Provide practical advice and support to project managers and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of project and portfolio management practices.

About the job

Our client is seeking an experienced Portfolio Manager to provide governance, assurance and project delivery support across their project portfolios.

This is an excellent opportunity for a collaborative project professional with strong Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO) experience to work closely with key stakeholders and help ensure projects are effectively governed, supported and delivered to customer-focused outcomes.

Please note: The office is in the Sutherland Shire, and you will have to go in 3 days a week.

Key Responsibilities

• Support project portfolios in line with theirproject management methodology.
• Provide project governance and assurance, ensuring appropriate controls, processes and reporting are maintained.
• Provide project delivery support, expertise and guidance to project teams and portfolio stakeholders.
• Work collaboratively with key internal stakeholders, including Procurement, Legal, Health and Safety, and other corporate functions.
• Provide practical advice and support to project managers and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of project and portfolio management practices.

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

• Significant experience in project and portfolio management, ideally within a complex organisation.
• Proven experience working within an Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO) environment.
• Significant experience in stakeholder management, with the ability to build effective relationships across diverse business functions.
• A strong track record of delivering customer-focused outcomes.
• Strong technical skills across Microsoft products, particularly Microsoft Excel.
• Exposure to SAP, with experience or knowledge of SAP PPM (Project Portfolio Management) and SAP PS (Project System) highly desirable.
