Job summary

Qube Ports is seeking staff for shift work at Port of Dampier to load and discharge general and bulk cargoes, operate machinery, and undertake wharf duties with some clerical tasks. Positions require flexibility for an irregular, 24/7 shift pattern and a pre-employment medical assessment and police check may be required.

Qube is committed to safety and training, emphasising zero harm and extensive on-the-job instruction to ensure workers return home safely at the end of each day.

Qualifications

• Full Manual driver’s licence is required.
• High Risk License in Forklift, Dogging, Crane (highly regarded).
• Trade Qualification (highly regarded).
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with a variety of people.
• Demonstrated safety behaviours and experience.
• Ability to work autonomously using proactive approach to task resolution.
• Ability to be flexible and adaptable to work in a demanding environment.

Responsibilities

• Load and discharge general and bulk cargoes.
• Operate machinery as required.
• Perform shipboard and wharf duties.
• Carry out basic clerical tasks as needed.
• Be available for irregular shift patterns with 24/7 availability.
