Job summary

FLSmidth in Pinkenba, Brisbane is seeking a Production Planner - Polyurethane to coordinate and schedule production, optimise capacity and inventory, and ensure customer demand is met. You will work with Production, Supply Chain, Procurement and other stakeholders to manage orders, material availability and delivery priorities.

In this hands-on role, you will balance changing priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while emphasising safety, quality and customer service.

Qualifications

• Experience in production planning or materials planning within manufacturing
• Strong understanding of MRP, scheduling, inventory management
• Experience with ERP systems and maintaining planning master data
• Analytical and problem-solving skills to address supply issues
• Ability to manage competing priorities and changing requirements
• Strong communication and stakeholder management across functions
• Attention to detail and accuracy in delivery

Responsibilities

• Plan and schedule production orders based on demand, capacity and priorities
• Manage MRP actions and exception reports while balancing inventory and service requirements
• Monitor material availability and escalate supply constraints
• Maintain master-data in ERP systems
• Monitor inventory, backorders, lead times and finished goods availability
• Collaborate with Procurement and Production to resolve shortages
• Communicate production status and potential delivery impacts
• Investigate schedule adherence issues and contribute to improvements
• Support capacity and labour planning across manufacturing work centres
• Monitor manufacturing performance and support throughput improvements
• Promote safety and quality policies
• Support payroll, training coordination and uniforms as required
• Participate in operational improvement projects
