Job summary

The Policy Support Officer at the Victorian Department of Health supports the Nursing and Midwifery Workforce team to coordinate a broad program of workforce initiatives, grants, scholarships, regulatory work and policy and project activities.

This role provides practical policy coordination, administrative support, information management and stakeholder follow-up to help the team deliver work in a timely, organised and well-documented way.

Qualifications

• A qualification in project administration, business administration, public policy, health, health promotion or a related field.
• Experience coordinating policy or project activities and supporting administrative tasks.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate meetings and papers, track actions and deadlines.
• Prepare routine correspondence and reports.
• Escalate risks, issues and emerging priorities for guidance.
• Maintain accurate records across multiple projects.
