Job summary

ACT is seeking an experienced Director for the Policy, Legislation and Housing Branch in Canberra. The role focuses on leading policy, legislation and program delivery with a strong emphasis on outcomes, innovation and stakeholder collaboration.

The position is full-time and temporary for 12 months, with a possibility of permanency. Applicants should have a relevant tertiary qualification and demonstrate experience in policy frameworks, procurement and contract management within the ACT public

Qualifications

• Leadership experience in policy programs and cross‑agency initiatives.
• Strong project management and delivery skills across complex programs.
• Ability to interpret policy frameworks and drive implementation.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Policy, Legislation and Housing Branch projects from design to delivery and implementation.
• Manage procurements and contract management as required.
• Support ABW work arrangements and foster an inclusive work environment.
