Australian Submarine Agency - AU Government in Canberra seeks an EL1 Assistant Director in the Stewardship Policy Branch. You will shape policy and advise Ministers on Australia’s nuclear stewardship program, delivering safe, secure and responsible strategies for the submarine enterprise.

You will lead policy development, coordination with senior stakeholders and oversee end-of-life planning for spent fuel and radioactive waste, contributing to a national endeavour with long-term strategic

Competenze

• Experience in policy development, governance or public administration.
• Ability to translate complex issues into clear, actionable guidance.
• Proven capability to work with Ministers and Parliament.

Mansioni

• Drive development of policy, strategy, project plans and technical advice for nuclear stewardship objectives.
• Provide evidence-based advice to senior management on defueling, dismantling, transport and disposal pathways.
• Brief senior leadership on research and international approaches to nuclear stewardship and waste management.
• Drive design and implementation of the Stewardship Policy Framework and end-of-life project controls within the NPS program.
