Job summary

ASFA | The Voice of Super seeks a Policy Advisor to engage with government on superannuation policy, develop sector positions, and represent them externally. You will work with ASFA’s policy and research team to consult members, draft submissions, and monitor developments in the sector.

The role requires strong written and analytical skills, collaborative mindset, and the ability to manage multiple policy issues with leadership support.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret data and provide summaries.
• Excellent written communication to convey technical information to non-technical audiences.
• Capability in stakeholder management and engagement with diverse groups.
• Ability to work collaboratively across a team and independently on multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Support development of policy positions in consultation with ASFA’s membership.
• Prepare submissions to enable ASFA to represent positions to government.
• Monitor policy developments in superannuation and financial services.
• Provide strategic advice on emerging trends to leadership.
• Prepare policy briefs for senior leadership and stakeholders.
• Coordinate responses to member inquiries and support policy forums.
• Collate and distil policy positions from regulators and industry actors.
• Stay informed on public policy best practices and uplift team capacity.
