Job summary

Royal Flying Doctor Service invites applications for a Podiatrist focused on Chronic Disease Management. The role covers Broken Hill and the Far West network with a focus on preventing amputations in high-risk diabetic populations.

Flexible working arrangements include full-time, part-time and FIFO options, with a maximum-term contract to 30 June 2027, subject to funding. Travel across the region is required.

Qualifications

• NSW Working with Children Check or ability to obtain.
• National Police Check.
• Evidence of COVID-19 and Category A vaccinations.
• Current AHPRA registration.

Responsibilities

• Deliver podiatry assessment, treatment and wound care.
• Work within a multidisciplinary team to support outcomes.
• Develop and implement care plans for chronic conditions.
• Liaise with internal staff, external providers and community services.
• Maintain accurate clinical records and follow-ups.
• Provide culturally safe care for Aboriginal clients and families.
• Engage in health promotion and prevention programs.
• Ensure infection control standards and equipment maintenance.
• Comply with professional standards and organisational policies.
• Participate in quality improvement and safety activities.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and represent RFDS positively.
• Registration or eligibility for registration with AHPRA.
