HealthcareLink Trust is seeking an experienced Aged Care Podiatrist to join our residential aged care team in Goonellabah. You will deliver comprehensive foot care to elderly residents, promote mobility, and contribute to resident wellness across facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Podiatry required.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine podiatry care for elderly residents in residential aged care facilities.
• Diagnose and treat foot and lower limb conditions.
• Provide ongoing podiatric care including corns, calluses, fungal infections, and nail issues.
• Promote mobility, foot health, and falls-prevention strategies.
• Educate residents and staff on foot care and footwear.

About the role

An exciting opportunity is available for a Podiatrist to join a growing aged care team and provide comprehensive foot care services to elderly residents across residential aged care facilities. In this role, you will play a vital part in promoting foot health, mobility, comfort, and independence among residents.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct routine foot assessments for aged care residents
• Diagnose, treat, and manage a wide range of foot and lower limb conditions
• Provide ongoing podiatric care, including treatment of: Corns and calluses
• Fungal infections
• Ingrown toenails
• Foot pain and mobility-related concerns
• Develop and implement preventative care strategies to reduce the risk of falls and foot-related complications
• Recommend appropriate footwear and orthotic solutions
• Educate residents and care staff on foot care and foot health practices
• Deliver foot exercises and mobility support recommendations
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to develop individualised care plans
• Support wound care management and provide advice on assistive devices where appropriate
