Job summary

Lifecare Australia is seeking a qualified podiatrist to join our team on a part-time, casual or sub-contracting basis. You will provide high-quality foot care across a multi-disciplinary setting, focusing on assessment, treatment planning and outcome evaluation.

You will work with patients on diabetic foot health, biomechanics, orthotics guidance, and education, with a strong emphasis on documentation and referrals to other healthcare professionals as appropriate. AHPRA registration is required.

Qualifications

• Registered podiatrist with AHPRA.
• Willing to undergo a National Criminal history check.

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, treat and evaluate foot and lower limb conditions.
• Conduct diabetic foot health assessments.
• Provide footwear and foot care advice and education.
• Diagnose and treat musculoskeletal conditions with a range of treatments.
• Perform biomechanical examinations and assessments.
• Advise on orthotic prescriptions and fittings.
• Maintain quality documentation and treatment planning procedures.
• Make referrals to other healthcare professionals as appropriate.

About The Role

As a part time, casual, or sub-contracting Podiatrist you will be providing high-quality treatment to our patients to ensure the provision of optimal health outcomes. This encompasses ensuring effective and efficient assessment, treatment planning, treatment implementation and evaluation in a multi-disciplinary setting.

In this role you will be…

• Providing general foot care including assessing, diagnosing, treating and evaluating abnormalities and diseases related to the foot and lower limb
• Conducting Diabetic foot health assessments
• Providing footwear and foot care advice and education
• Diagnosing and effectively treating musculoskeletal conditions via a range of treatments
• Providing biomechanical examinations and assessments
• Providing advice on Orthotic prescriptions and fittings
• Maintaining quality documentation and treatment planning procedures
• Making referrals to other healthcare professionals as appropriate
