Job summary

Allied Seafreight Logistics in Melbourne is expanding its warehousing and transport team. We seek a flexible, licensed operator who can safely operate container reach stackers and forklifts, with preference for counter balance experience.

You will load and unload containers, update container statuses using yard and warehouse apps, complete paperwork, and work independently or with the team to maintain safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Must have a current, valid forklift and reach stacker license.
• Experienced stacker driver with container handling knowledge.
• Counter balance experience preferred.
• Able to understand instructions and use technology.
• Capable of working independently and in a team.
• Strong work ethic and commitment to safety.

Responsibilities

• Loading / unloading loaded shipping containers with container reach stacker.
• Loading / unloading empty shipping containers with a 16 tonne forklift.
• Using yard app to update container status.
• Unloading and loading vehicles in a safe and efficient manner.
• General yard duties as directed.
• Ensuring all required paperwork is collected, completed and handed in on time.
• Using warehouse app to scan in and out freight and complete inventory checks.
• Develop and maintain good working relationships with staff and stakeholders.
• Adhere to WH&S legislation and Allied Seafreight policies and procedures.
• Assist in achieving safety and compliance goals in areas of responsibility.
• May include unpacking containers, putting away and picking stock for daily orders.

Having grown substantially, we are expanding our team to provide greater coverage for our Warehousing and Transport activities. We are seeking a flexible, licensed and competent operator with a 'can do' attitude who can safely operate Container Reach Stackers. Experience using lifting equipment from 2.5t LF through to a Container Reach Stacker is preferred.

Qualifications & experience

Must have a current, valid forklift & reach stacker license

Must be an experienced stacker driver

Preferred counter balance experience

Able to understand instructions and use technology

Ability to work independently and within a team

Strong work ethic

Tasks & responsibilities
