Blackbook Executive is seeking a PM Maintenance Electrician for an afternoon shift in the Salisbury/Cavan area of SA. The role focuses on maintaining site electrical reliability within a food processing environment, with a 2:00pm–10:00pm schedule and a $110,000–$120,000 annual package.

You will lead electrical PMs, fault-finding, inspections, and improvements, collaborating with a maintenance team to ensure production targets are met while upholding safety standards.

Qualifications

Maintenance Electrician (Afternoon Shift) Cavan, SA | Food & Meat Processing | $110,000 – $120,000 Package

We're recruiting for a leading meat value-add manufacturing facility in Cavan that is seeking an experienced Maintenance Electrician to join its maintenance team. This site focuses on food processing, packaging and distribution activities only, with no kill floor or abattoir operations.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established business where you'll be trusted to manage the electrical requirements of the afternoon shift while working within a close-knit maintenance team.

The Role

As the dedicated electrician on afternoon shift, you'll be responsible for maintaining site reliability and keeping production running smoothly.

Key responsibilities include:

• Electrical fault finding and breakdown response
• Planned preventative maintenance (PMs)
• Electrical inspections and audits
• Preventative maintenance scheduling and execution
• Equipment reliability improvements
• Supporting production teams to minimise downtime
• Working safely within a food manufacturing environment
• Identifying and resolving recurring electrical issues

Site & Equipment

This operation employs approximately 250 people across multiple shifts and operates a range of food processing and packaging equipment, including:

• Multivac packaging systems
• Portion cutting equipment
• Mincing and processing machinery
• Cryovac packaging systems
• Production conveyors and standalone machinery
• Refrigeration and cold storage infrastructure

About You To be considered, you'll ideally have:

• Current A-Grade Electrical Licence
• Experience within manufacturing, industrial or processing environments
• Strong troubleshooting and fault-finding capability
• Ability to work independently and prioritise tasks
• Excellent communication skills
• A proactive and hands‐on approach to maintenance
