Job summary

Challenger Limited in Sydney is seeking a hands-on Test Automation Engineer to strengthen our automated testing capability using Playwright and TypeScript/JavaScript. Based in the Sydney CBD with a hybrid schedule (3 days in the office, 2 from home), you will design, develop and maintain scalable automation frameworks across web applications, APIs and integrated systems.

Hands-on experience building test automation using Playwright.
Strong TypeScript or JavaScript development skills.
Experience designing scalable automation frameworks.
Familiarity with CI/CD and test data strategies.
Excellent collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

Translate requirements into clear, testable scenarios and identify failure points early.
Design, develop and maintain automated tests using Playwright with TypeScript or JavaScript.
Build scalable automation frameworks across web apps, APIs and integrations.
Execute automated runs, analyze results, manage defects and retest fixes.
Integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines and improve coverage and efficiency.
Support manual testing as needed and collaborate with teams for end-to-end coverage.
