Job summary

Save the Children Australia in Shepparton is seeking a part-time Child and Family Specialist – Play2Learn to deliver supported playgroups, conduct in-home parent coaching and outreach with families. You will identify needs, provide referrals, and promote culturally respectful parenting to support child development.

Ideal candidates will have experience with at-risk families, group facilitation, and a trauma-informed, strengths-based approach.

Qualifications

• Experience in group facilitation with at-risk families (primarily under 4 years).
• In-home family support and interventions delivery experience.

Responsibilities

• Deliver supported playgroups in local community and provide parent coaching.
• Provide 1:1 outreach services and in-home visits.
• Identify needs and referrals for external services.
• Promote culturally respectful parenting and child wellbeing.
• Support families to keep children on track developmentally.
