Job summary

Penske Australia & New Zealand is seeking a Platform Manager for Sauer Compressors to join our Defence Programmes Group in Kings Park, NSW. This full-time role coordinates in-service support, maintains customer relationships, and supports tenders for defence projects.

You will liaise with stakeholders, oversee equipment Modifications, and ensure compliance with export controls and contract requirements. Prior defence or engineering experience is desirable, and Australian citizenship with

Your New Opportunity

We are seeking a full-time, permanent Platform Manager - Sauer Compressors to join our Defence Programmes Group in Kings Park, NSW. In this role, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing in-service support activities across key naval platforms, ensuring timely delivery of maintenance, reporting, and customer requirements.

What will you be doing?

• Coordinate and manage in-service support activities for Hobart Class Destroyer, ANZAC Class Frigate, and other Defence platforms.
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure service notifications, estimates, reports, and invoicing are managed effectively.
• Provide technical operations support for equipment modifications and upgrades.
• Develop and maintain customer relationships to support sustainment activities.
• Support quotations, tenders, and proposals for new Defence projects.
• Assist in compliance with export controls, contract requirements, and reporting

About You

• Mechanical trade qualification with demonstrated technical and operational experience.
• Strong project/contract management skills in Defence or engineering industries.
• High-level communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint).
• Previous Defence industry experience desirable.
• Ability to process large documents in a contracting environment.
• Australian citizen with eligibility to obtain and maintain Defence security clearance (NV1 or above).
• Understanding of the Maritime Sustainment Model desirable.
