Job summary

XPT Software Australia Pty Ltd in Melbourne is seeking a skilled DevOps/Platform Engineer to manage Red Hat 7/8 environments, configure firewalls, implement static routes, and perform platform maintenance in a fast-paced client-facing setting.

The role includes onboarding API gateway services in Apigee, API key management, developer onboarding, MOP creation, and driving end-to-end automation with Ansible to improve deployment reliability and change management processes.

Qualifications

• Experience with Red Hat Linux environments (RHEL 7/8).
• Hands-on Ansible automation development and execution.
• Experience supporting API gateway platforms (Apigee) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Onboard API gateway services in Apigee including API key management and developer onboarding.
• Administer Red Hat 7/8 environments, manage firewall configurations and static routes, and perform platform maintenance.
• Develop and maintain Ansible automation for deployment, changes, and MOPs with end-to-end change management.

Experienced with Red Hat 7/8 management, Ansible via CLI and Ansible Automation Platform

Onboarding work for API Gateway Services including:

updating design documentation, design excel spreadsheets and wiki documents

implementing onboarding in Apigee software

Firewall requests creation and updates

Change management process – creation of changes, MOPs and follow process to have them approved

Implementing Static routes on Red Hat VM's

Adhoc onboarding or platform maintenance activities.

Must Have Skills:

Top 3 Responsibilities:

Managed API Gateway onboarding in Apigee, including API key management, developer onboarding, and design documentation updates.

Administered Red Hat 7/8 environments, firewall configurations, static route implementations, and platform maintenance activities.
