Job summary

Mars Incorporated is seeking a Reliability Manager for our Mars Food Nutrition site on the Central Coast in NSW. You will own the maintenance group, drive a proactive maintenance culture, and partner with Production Managers to maximise asset uptime and plant reliability.

As a key member of the Plant Management Team, you will lead the maintenance workforce, shape strategy, manage the budget, and champion continuous improvement through CMMS/ERP systems and relevant certifications.

Qualifications

• A tertiary qualification in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or similar) OR a relevant trade qualification with extensive leadership experience.
• Demonstrated experience leading teams in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Familiarity with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) or ERP platforms (such as SAP).
• Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP) or equivalent continuous improvement certifications (Lean, Six Sigma) are highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct leadership to the maintenance team and foster a high-performance culture.
• Lead the development, deployment, and continuous improvement of the site-wide maintenance strategy to maximize asset lifecycle and plant reliability.
• Act as the dedicated owner of the site maintenance budget and manage the stores inventory budget to ensure optimal parts availability.
• Rigorously analyse key performance indicators—including maintenance spend and reliability metrics.
• Oversee and deliver key engineering and maintenance projects focused on elevating overall plant reliability and reducing equipment downtime.
• Collaborate with Production Managers to drive continuous improvement and minimize downtime.
