Job summary

Programmed is hiring for a Machine Operator / Forklift Operator in Lonsdale (SA). The role runs Day and Afternoon shifts, 6:00 AM to 2:06 PM and 2:00 PM to 10:06 PM, Monday to Friday, with a casual ongoing opportunity. Responsibilities include loading yarn, operating tufting machinery, forklift duties, and data recording.

Applicants should hold a current LF forklift licence and have machine-operating experience. Experience in carpet manufacturing or textiles is valued.

Rate: Au$ 33 per hour

Casual Ongoing Opportunity

We are seeking reliable and motivated Plant Operators / Machine Operators / Forklift Operators to join their manufacturing team in Lonsdale. This is an ongoing opportunity with a leading Australian carpet manufacturer, offering stable employment and immediate starts for suitable candidates.

Duties include:

• Loading yarn and materials into carpet tufting machinery
• Setting up and operating carpet manufacturing equipment
• Operating a forklift to move raw materials and finished products
• Recording and monitoring production data
• Maintaining a safe and efficient work environment
• Assisting with general production and material handling duties

To be successful, you will have:

• Current LF Forklift Licence
• Previous machine operating and/or forklift experience
• Experience in carpet manufacturing, textile production, or similar machinery highly regarded but not essential
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• High attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment and stand for extended periods
• Ability to regularly lift min 5kg
• Flexible attitude toward overtime and additional hours when required
