Job summary

Council Jobs in Yeppoon is seeking a proactive Plant Operator / Labourer to join our Water Supply and Sewerage Operations team. You will operate plant and machinery, especially a backhoe, and contribute to general labouring tasks that keep essential community infrastructure reliable and safe.

If you have White Card, MR class licence, and proven earthmoving experience, you’ll fit in with our hands-on crew and help deliver practical results for the local area every day.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to safely and effectively operate earthmoving equipment, including a backhoe.
• Current Construction Industry Induction (White Card) held.
• Valid MR class driver’s licence (higher class desirable).

Responsibilities

• Operate plant and machinery, especially backhoes.
• Perform general labouring duties such as concreting and pipelaying.
• Support the Water Supply and Sewerage Operations team to ensure reliable and safe community infrastructure.
