Job summary

Boral Asphalt is seeking a hands-on Plant Operator to join our crew delivering road surfacing across Greater Sydney. You will operate asphalt and mobile plant equipment, support paving activities, and contribute to projects that connect communities.

We value safety, teamwork, and a proactive approach. A White Card, together with an HR Licence or Mobile Equipment competency, will help you succeed in this role and grow with a leading national contractor.

Qualifications

• Must have White Card and valid HR Licence or Mobile Equipment Competency.
• Comfortable working outdoors on civil/asphalt sites with safety as a priority.
• Committed to safety and environmental responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Operate asphalt and mobile plant equipment safely and efficiently.
• Support asphalt paving and road surfacing activities.
• Assist with a variety of hands-on labouring tasks across project sites.
• Maintain company vehicles, plant and equipment to a high standard.
• Participate in safety initiatives and continuous improvement programs.
• Work collaboratively with the crew to achieve project goals.

What you'll be doing:

• Supporting asphalt paving and road surfacing activities
• Assisting with a variety of hands-on labouring tasks across project sites
• Maintaining company vehicles, plant, and equipment to a high standard
• Participating in safety initiatives and continuous improvement programs
• Working collaboratively with your crew to achieve project goals
• Ensuring all work is completed in line with Boral's safety and environmental standards

What we're looking for:

• We're keen to hear from candidates who enjoy working outdoors, take pride in their work, and are committed to safety.
• Experience in asphalt road surfacing or civil construction (highly regarded)
• A strong commitment to workplace safety and environmental responsibility
• A White Card (General Construction Induction Card)
• A current HR Licence or Mobile Equipment National Competency (advantageous)
• A positive attitude and strong team-working skills
• Flexibility to work day, night and weekend shifts as required
