A local government council in New South Wales is seeking a Plant Operator to undertake maintenance and construction tasks across the road network. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of road construction, experience with plant equipment, and a commitment to safety. This permanent, full-time position offers a remuneration package based on Grade 5 of the Council's Salary System, along with various wellbeing and development benefits.

ADD VALUE - THE ROLE
The plant operator is responsible for operating a range of plant and equipment to undertake plant operation and labouring tasks associated with the maintenance and construction of roads, drainage and other civil infrastructure including but not limited to earthworks, concrete, pipe laying, bitumen and vegetation work across the Singleton road network. Daily maintenance and pre-start checks of assigned plant are also key responsibilities of the role.
Essential to this role is demonstrated current working knowledge of road construction and maintenance tasks and techniques, coupled with experience/tickets/VOC with road construction plant and equipment, along with proven competency in undertaking specified labouring duties for civil construction projects and maintenance tasks.
This position is offered on a permanent, full-time basis working 76 hours per fortnight on a team-based 9-day fortnight.
Remuneration package for this position is based on Grade 5 of Council's Salary System Protocol which equates to a base salary of $2377 - $2674 per fortnight plus superannuation.
