Job summary

Coogee Chemicals Pty in Western Australia seeks an experienced Plant Operator for the Chlor Alkali Plant in Kwinana on a permanent full-time basis.

The role operates on a four-days-on roster (two day shifts, two night shifts) followed by four days off, with responsibilities including monitoring plant operation, lab analyses, and coordination with maintenance and safety systems. Applicants must be able to work in a small team and respond to process issues.

Qualifications

• Experience in process plant operation and control.
• Ability to carry out routine laboratory analyses.
• Willingness to complete training as per matrix.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and control all aspects of plant operation under the direction of the shift supervisor.
• Carry out a wide variety of duties when spare operator as directed by Supervisor or Superintendent.
• Carry out routine laboratory analyses as required.
• Complete training courses as set out in the training matrix.
• Provide relief for other operators as required.
• Become competent in all aspects of plant operation.
• Assisting maintenance staff if/when required.
• Ensure that all alarms and trips of equipment related to the SIS and BMS safety systems are reported in the Incident Reporting Register.
• Ensure all tanker loading is carried out efficiently and safely and all relevant records are accurate.

About the Role
