Job summary

WesTrac seeks a Plant Mechanic at Ravensworth to service CAT mining equipment and keep reliability and safety at the forefront of a world-class operation. You’ll join a skilled maintenance team, diagnose mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults, perform preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs, and use CAT diagnostic systems to maximise uptime.

Australian recognised trade qualification required; relocation support available, with extensive benefits and career development through WesTrac

Qualifications

• Must hold an Australian recognised mechanical trade qualification.
• Experience on heavy mobile equipment is essential.
• Demonstrated fault-finding and diagnostic skills.

Responsibilities

• Service, repair and maintenance of CAT mobile mining equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults.
• Perform preventative maintenance and inspections.
• Complete breakdown repairs and component changes.
• Utilise CAT diagnostic systems.
• Maintain safety, quality and housekeeping standards.
