Job summary

Laing O’Rourke is seeking an experienced Hire Controller for the Select Plant Australia team based in Seven Hills, NSW. The role manages the end-to-end process for all hire contracts, ensuring a seamless customer experience and timely conversions of opportunities.

We seek candidates with 3+ years in related roles, strong knowledge of plant hire, and excellent data entry skills to maintain accurate invoicing and robust customer relationships.

Qualifications

• 3+ years experience preferred in a related role (plant hire, dispatch, commercial, construction, logistics).
• Good working knowledge of construction and plant hire industries.
• Excellent alpha/numerical data entry skills.

Responsibilities

• Address all customer queries in a timely and effective manner and cultivate lasting relationships.
• Fulfil customer requests for hire of plant, equipment, vehicles, site accommodation and tools.
• Drive customer focus to maximise use of Select own plant and equipment.
• Leverage existing customer relationships to identify growth opportunities.
• Reconcile project charges prior to charge run to ensure invoicing is current and accurate.
• Review queried invoices with suppliers for payment or dispute escalation.
