Job summary

Coates Albert Park workshop is seeking a skilled diesel mechanic to maintain our fleet of hire equipment. You’ll perform preventative maintenance, repairs and overhauls, ensuring reliability for customers and safety on site.

Ideal candidates hold a relevant mechanical trade qualification, with hands-on experience in diesel and petrol engines, hydraulics and basic electrical systems. A HC/HR license is a bonus; forklift/EWP tickets are advantageous.

Qualifications

• Qualified diesel fitter or mechanic with relevant trade qualification.
• Experience with diesel and petrol engines, hydraulics, pneumatics and basic 12-volt electrical systems.
• Strong troubleshooting, diagnostic and preventative maintenance experience.

Responsibilities

• Performing preventative maintenance, servicing and overhauls on plant and equipment.
• Diagnosing and repairing mechanical faults.
• Maintaining accurate service and repair records.
• Minimising equipment downtime through proactive maintenance and efficient repairs.
