Job summary

Downer Group in Australia seeks a Planning, Performance & Data Manager to lead planning governance, work management systems and performance analytics across our Northern Assets portfolio. This leadership role ensures accuracy, visibility and decision-making frameworks that underpin safe, reliable service delivery.

You will drive integrated work programs, oversee Maximo/WMIS configuration and deliver dashboards for data-driven decisions.

Qualifications

• Structured, analytical mindset and ability to drive governance.
• 5+ years' experience in planning, scheduling, analytics or maintenance systems roles.
• Strong Maximo expertise and BI tooling knowledge (Tableau).
• Experience with performance reporting, data governance and planning standards.
• Understanding of asset/maintenance environments and QTA frameworks.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Responsibilities

We are seeking a highly capable Planning, Performance & Data Manager to lead planning governance, work management systems, performance analytics and assurance across our Northern Assets portfolio. This is a pivotal leadership role responsible for the accuracy, visibility and decision-making frameworks that underpin safe, reliable and predictable service delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Lead integrated work programs and ensure sequencing, readiness and planning standards are consistently met.

• Oversee Maximo/WMIS accuracy and ensure system configuration, workflows and data quality remain compliant.

• Deliver dashboards and performance reports, providing insights that guide data-driven decision-making.

• Lead assurance activities, managing audits, NCRs and compliance requirements across all planning and delivery workflows.

• Develop shutdown schedules and readiness documentation aligned to technical scope, access approvals and traffic requirements.

• Mentor teams and uplift capability in planning discipline, system use, documentation quality and continuous improvement.

What you'll bring

You will bring a structured, analytical mindset and excel in environments requiring discipline, governance and stakeholder alignment along with:

• Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Planning, Data Science, Project Management or similar.
• 5+ years' experience in planning, scheduling, analytics or maintenance systems roles.
• Strong Maximo expertise and capability with BI tools (e.g. Tableau).
• Deep experience in performance reporting, data governance and planning standards.
• Understanding of asset/maintenance environments and Q&TA frameworks.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
