Job summary

Wood Australia is seeking expressions of interest for Planners/Schedulers to support the Surat Basin projects in western Queensland. You will develop and maintain schedules for maintenance, construction and overhauls, using Primavera P6 to meet client expectations and keep critical energy infrastructure on track.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Planner / Scheduler.
  • Brownfields maintenance and projects in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical or Chemical industries is advantageous.
  • Proficiency with industry standard software including MS Office Suite and Primavera P6.
  • Full work rights in Australia required.

Responsibilities

  • Develops and maintains maintenance, construction and overhauls schedules in accordance with the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and CTR Catalogue using Primavera P6 to client expectations.
  • Plans and organises plans for Wood and Subcontractor work activities, in line with overall schedules, in a timely manner to ensure information, materials, tools and equipment are available to avoid minimal disruption to workforce.
  • Responsible for the preparation and issue of plans, schedules, progress and performance reports in accordance with reporting requirements.
  • Ensures execution team buy into plans and are accountable for their achievement.
  • Monitors and controls all planning activities through the planning and execution phase of the turnaround lifecycle.
  • Co-ordinates with procurement and execution functions and others as required, maintaining awareness of overall turnaround activities and their impact on the execution schedule and budget.
  • Co-ordinates with key stakeholders to ensure plans are developed in accordance with preferred execution methodology and timing.
  • Responsible for accurate site progress reporting, ensuring accurate capture of direct and non-productive man hours.
  • Ensures preparation and issue of updates to contract manpower requirements.
  • Coordinates development and issue of change orders / variations relating to scope changes and growth in accordance with change notifications.
  • Facilitates internal progress and performance meetings as required.
  • Attends site / client meetings as required and presents schedule and performance status.
  • Provides feedback to the Contract Manager on the site’s contract and team’s performance.
