Job summary

UGL is seeking an experienced Planner/Scheduler – Scaffolding to join the APLNG maintenance team on Curtis Island. You will develop detailed work scopes, schedules, permits and job packs to support safe and efficient execution of scaffolding, rigging and lifting activities across a major LNG facility.

Qualifications

  • Advanced scaffolding qualification required.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in oil & gas, LNG, mining, petrochemical or heavy industry.
  • Strong planning and scheduling experience in heavy industrial environments.
  • Proficient in SAP, Primavera P6 and Excel; understands Australian standards.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and schedule all scaffolding activities across site.
  • Develop detailed work packs, method statements and supporting documentation.
  • Produce scaffold designs using approved software.
  • Coordinate work orders, permits, risk assessments, JHAs and planning requirements.
  • Support daily/weekly scheduling meetings and SIMOPS planning.

An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Planner/Scheduler – Scaffolding to join our APLNG maintenance team on Curtis Island. Reporting to the Projects Superintendent, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe, efficient and compliant planning and scheduling of scaffolding, rigging and lifting activities across a major LNG facility.

About The Role

As the Planner/Scheduler, you will be responsible for developing detailed work scopes, schedules, permits and job packs that support safe and effective execution of maintenance activities. You will work closely with site supervision, maintenance and reliability teams, technical authorities and contractors to optimise work execution and improve planning outcomes.

Your Responsibilities Will Include
  • Planning and scheduling all scaffolding activities across site
  • Developing detailed work packs, method statements and supporting documentation
  • Producing scaffold designs using approved software as required
  • Coordinating work orders, permits, risk assessments, JHAs and associated planning requirements
  • Supporting daily and weekly scheduling meetings and SIMOPS planning activities
  • Liaising with maintenance, operations and contractor teams to ensure resources are effectively allocated
  • Managing scaffold documentation libraries and SharePoint records
  • Participating in HAZID workshops and risk reviews
  • Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement within planning and execution processes
  • Ensuring all activities comply with site procedures, Australian Standards and legislative requirements
About You

To be successful in this role, you will bring a strong background in lifting operations, scaffolding or rigging, combined with proven planning and scheduling experience within a heavy industrial environment.

You Will Ideally Possess
  • Advanced Scaffolding Qualification
  • Minimum 5 years' experience within oil & gas, LNG, mining, petrochemical or heavy industrial environments
  • Demonstrated experience in maintenance planning and scheduling
  • Strong working knowledge of SAP, Primavera P6, Microsoft Excel and planning systems
  • Sound understanding of Australian Standards relating to scaffolding, rigging and crane operations
  • Experience preparing permits, risk assessments and work packs
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing prioritiesAproactive approach to safety, compliance and continuous improvement
