Job summary

Turner & Townsend in Australia is seeking an experienced Scheduler/Planner to lead project scheduling on complex building projects. You will develop master programmes, monitor progress, highlight risks, and report update to clients.

The candidate will have 5+ years on-site scheduling, a relevant tertiary degree, strong Primavera P6 and MS Project skills, and experience with large-scale Real Estate or high-rise projects.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience as a Scheduler / Planner on Building projects.
• On-site construction experience preferred.
• Proficiency in Primavera P6 and MS Project; MS Excel/PowerPoint/Word skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct Pre-baseline reviews of contractor's programmes to check adherence to contractual requirements and scheduling practices.
• Prepare progress update reports and highlight key schedule risks and opportunities to the clients.
• Recommend corrective action and create acceleration programmes in case of major delays.
• Conduct delay analysis and assist the Senior Scheduler in delay claims management.
• Arrange meetings with client-side stakeholders to gather inputs and deliverables and create an Integrated Master Works Programme linked to the Main Contractor's programme.
• Provide sound advice to clients on efficient timelines for multi-staged complex construction projects.

Job Description

• Conduct Pre-baseline reviews of contractor's programmes to check adherence to the required contractual requirements and industry standard scheduling practices.
• Prepare progress update reports and highlight key schedule risks and opportunities to the clients.
• Recommend corrective action and create acceleration programmes in case of major delays.
• Conduct delay analysis and assist the Senior Scheduler in delay claims management.
• Arrange meetings with multiple client-side stakeholders to understand their inputs and deliverables during the project and create an Integrated Master Works Programme including all these dependencies linked to Main Contractor's programme.
• To provide sound advice to the clients during all phases of the project regarding the most efficient timelines of carrying out multi-staged complex construction projects.

Qualifications

• Tertiary degree in one of the following disciplines - Engineering, Construction, Building or Project Management.
• Minimum 5 years' experience as a Scheduler / Planner on Building projects
• Candidates with prior on-site working experience on construction projects will be preferred.
• Strong knowledge of the end-to-end construction and project processes
• Professional proficiency in P6 (Primavera) and MS Project. Knowledge of Asta or other programming software is advantageous.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word etc.
• Preferable large-scale Real Estate project experience - Hospitals/ Retail/ Commercial/Hotels/ High-Rise / Universities / Residential Projects experience
• Valid working rights in Australia
