About the Role

The Planner supports the Planning portfolio to deliver government planning policies, strategies, systems and reforms. Working as part of a collaborative team, the role provides planning advice and support across projects, policies, programs, legislation, systems and stakeholder relationships, helping deliver quality services to local government, agencies and the Department.

The role contributes to projects, identifies issues and opportunities, and develops practical solutions to improve outcomes. It builds effective relationships, influences and negotiates with stakeholders, shares knowledge and supports a positive team culture. The Planner works flexibly across the business and promotes culturally safe, inclusive and respectful workplaces.

Qualifications and Experience
  • Relevant qualification in Planning or a related field (mandatory).
  • Experience and knowledge of statutory and strategic land use planning in Victorian metropolitan and regional contexts, with an understanding of relevant planning legislation, regulations, ministerial directions and statutory instruments.
  • Current driver’s licence.
