Job summary

ACCIONA is delivering a flagship WA infrastructure project—the Alkimos Desalination Plant—where you will install, maintain and commission piping systems. The role offers long-term work with strong job security as works progress toward 2028 start of production and beyond.

You will read technical drawings, fit and align pipework, install valves and fittings, and coordinate with welders, boilermakers and other trades to keep the project on track on site in Australia.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification as a Pipe Fitter, Mechanical Pipe Fitter, or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Strong understanding of pipe installation, alignment, valves and fittings.
• Genuine safety-first attitude.
• Experience on large infrastructure, water treatment or industrial projects is highly regarded.

The Project

The Alkimos Desalination Plant Project includes the design, construction, operation and maintenance of the plant with first production in 2028. Works include marine works and tunnels, seawater intake system, a seawater reverse osmosis desalination plant, groundwater system, drinking water storage and pump system, supported by civil, electrical and bulk earthworks.

The Role

You’ll install, assemble and maintain piping systems across the site, including the seawater intake system, desalination plant, pump stations and groundwater infrastructure. Day to day, you’ll read and work from technical drawings and isometrics, fit and align pipework, install valves and fittings, and work alongside welders, boilermakers and other trades to keep the job on track.

Required Skills and Competencies
