Job summary
Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service in Rockhampton is seeking an Allied Health Assistant to support Physiotherapy services across Rockhampton and nearby locations. You will assist with treatment programs, prepare spaces and equipment, and liaise with patients and families to ensure quality care.
Under supervision, you will contribute to service improvements and documentation while enjoying regional travel opportunities and ongoing professional development within a public health
Qualifications
- Allied Health knowledge is desirable and relevant to role.
- Ability to rapidly build clinical knowledge in a healthcare environment.
- Ability to work both independently and with others in a clinical setting.
- Willingness to contribute ideas and participate in quality improvement activities.
Responsibilities
- Deliver delegated treatment programs under supervision of a Physiotherapist.
- Provide feedback on patient progress and outcomes to the care team.
- Work with patients, families and the healthcare team with respectful communication.
- Prepare treatment areas, transport equipment, manage supplies and stock levels.
- Participate in team meetings, service improvement projects and day-to-day Physiotherapy operations.
