Job description

Our subacute inpatient and non-admitted teams are seeking a Senior Physiotherapist to join them for a fixed-term, part-time maternity backfill position. This position may involve senior rotation options through the subacute admitted and non-admitted areas. The 'home' rotation will be within the subacute in the home program which provides rehabilitation services within peoples homes. Travel to outlying sites is involved with picturesque short drives to the regions. This team provides a supportive, multidisciplinary environment where working together is imperative to ensuring achievement of client goals.

Rotation opportunities (6 monthly as desired) within the subacute areas include the subacute inpatient space which is a 30 bed ward (mixed rehab and GEM streams). We have a team of experienced subacute and developing seniors, supported by rotational physiotherapists and AHAs. The broader team of Nursing, Medical and Allied Health are very welcoming and supportive of new staff. We have a broad mixed, at times high acuity and complex caseload that includes stroke management, amputees, spinal rehab, brain injury, general function decline, falls and other neuro rehab conditions.

This is a great opportunity for you to gain experience across a broad subacute physiotherapy domain and gain broad senior rehabilitation physiotherapy skills, more extensively than in one area only.

Outside of work time, our region is currently blooming in the spring weather. Albury Wodonga is an attractive, large regional centre located between Sydney and Melbourne, with great lifestyle and work options. It offers the Victorian Alps (within a 2 hour drive to the ski fields and hiking), Lake Hume and the Murray River for fantastic fishing, boating and skiing, great shopping with all major brands available and an abundance of leading wineries, restaurants and outdoor recreation options. We are also fortunate to have our airport in Albury with direct flights to Sydney and the Sunshine Coast.

Employment Type: This is a part time, fixed-term (maternity backfill) opportunity.
