Job summary

Austin Health is offering a Fixed-Term Full-time Grade 1 Physiotherapist position across its campuses in Melbourne. The role involves delivering physiotherapy care for patients within the allocated area and supporting staff, students and colleagues to uphold high standards of clinical practice.

The successful candidate will be registered with AHPRA and capable of treating a wide range of clinical conditions, while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required.
• Capacity to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Ability to work independently and adapt to changing roles.

Responsibilities

• Assess and treat patients in the designated work area.
• Liaise with families, carers and others to promote patient care.
• Document patient management accurately.
• Provide information when patients are transferred or referred for weekend treatment.
• Refer to and liaise with other personnel or institutions as needed.
• Supervise Physiotherapy Assistants and students, ensuring standard of care.
• Participate in ward/unit rounds and meetings.
