Job summary

Latrobe Regional Health in Gippsland seeks a Grade 1 Physiotherapist to provide high-quality, evidence-based care across inpatient, outpatient, and community settings. You will rotate through surgical, ICU/ED, maternity, rehabilitation, and geriatrics, supporting education and continuous learning.

Ideal candidates bring physiotherapy registration and a strong clinical foundation, with a commitment to collaborative care, patient-centred plans, and timely discharge planning.

Qualifications

  • Qualified Physiotherapist with a Bachelor of Applied Science (Physiotherapy) or equivalent and current AHPRA registration.
  • Strong foundation in physiotherapy assessment, treatment planning, and evidence-based clinical practice.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Well-developed organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage a clinical caseload effectively.
  • Committed to continuous learning, professional development, and delivering high-quality patient-centred care.
  • Adaptable, collaborative, and self-motivated, with a passion for improving patient outcomes and supporting excellence in healthcare delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver evidence-based physiotherapy assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation services to patients across designated clinical areas.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient-centred care plans that support safe and effective outcomes.
  • Participate in rotational and weekend physiotherapy services, providing flexible support across a variety of inpatient and clinical settings.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, carers, and healthcare professionals regarding treatment goals, progress, and discharge planning.
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and patient records in accordance with organisational and professional standards.
  • Contribute to education, professional development, and quality improvement activities, including supporting Allied Health Assistants and student learning opportunities.
