Job summary

Cerebral Palsy Alliance is seeking a physiotherapist to deliver evidence-based therapy across the lifespan, from infants to adults, in clinic and community settings. You will work with individuals with cerebral palsy to improve movement, strength and participation in daily activities, including sport and recreation.

You may provide one-on-one or group sessions and will tailor interventions to client goals, supported by a multidisciplinary team and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Relevant qualifications in Physiotherapy
• Evidence of current AHPRA registration.
• A current driver’s license and your own vehicle

Responsibilities

• Provide therapy to clients with cerebral palsy and similar disabilities across all ages
• Deliver one-on-one or group sessions based on evidence-based practice
• Advise on exercise, therapy, and equipment to improve movement, strength and mobility
• Help clients access appropriate mobility aids and equipment

As a physiotherapist at Cerebral Palsy Alliance you will provide therapy to clients cerebral palsy and similar disabilities, from early intervention with infants, through to adult clients. You may be providing services in one-on-one or group sessions, built on a foundation of evidence based research and tailored to your client's goals. You will aim improve movement, strength, and mobility, supporting children and adults to learn new skills, improve existing skills, and take part in everyday activities, including sport and recreation. Your day to day role could include:

• Providing expert advice on exercise, therapy, and equipment
• Supporting clients to learn new motor skills and improve or maintain their abilities
• Provide guidance on relearning posture and movement skills, and help with seating and mobility
• Helping clients to access mobility aids and equipment that are right for them
• Exercises to build strenght and/or help with managing pain
• Support clients to take part in sports, recreation, and leisure activities
