Job summary

West Gippsland Healthcare Group is seeking Physiotherapist Grade 1 or 2 for casual, on-site work at the Warragul hospital site. Roles include acute wards, subacute, outpatients, and community rehabilitation with weekend work.

You will join a multidisciplinary team and participate in orientation and ongoing professional development. The ideal candidate has a physiotherapy degree, full AHPRA registration, eligibility for APA membership, and a strong commitment to confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Degree in Physiotherapy required.
• Full registration with AHPRA is required.
• Eligibility for membership of the Australian Physiotherapy Association.
• Strong understanding of confidentiality requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled physiotherapy services across hospital wards and clinics on a casual basis.
• Work as part of a multidisciplinary team and participate in orientation.
• Contribute to community rehabilitation and outpatient services.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for physiotherapists to provide skilled physiotherapy services at WGHG on a casual basis including weekend work. Services will be provided primarily at the hospital site across the acute wards, subacute, outpatients and community rehabilitation.

The position requires a demonstrated capacity to work effectively as a member of the multidisciplinary team. The Physiotherapist accepts responsibility for, and maintains commitment to, personal and professional development.

Our preferred candidate will have:

• Degree in Physiotherapy
• Full registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency
• Eligibility for membership of the Australian Physiotherapy Association
• A thorough understanding and respect for confidentiality requirements.

The following experience/knowledge would be considered advantageous:

• Experience in a hospital or acute setting.
• Knowledge of privacy legislation and document control.
• Knowledge of issues relevant to regional/rural areas.
• Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel

IMPORTANT : Some roles in the healthcare sector are required to be vaccinated annually for Influenza (unless a valid exemption applies). Evidence of vaccination (or exemption) will be required to be provided prior to commencement.
