Job summary

BlueCare is hiring a Physiotherapist in Maryborough/Hervey Bay to deliver holistic, integrated care that maintains mobility and independence for clients in the community. You’ll diagnose, plan and tailor treatments, working with GPs and therapists to implement care plans, improve movement and quality of life.

This permanent full-time role requires AHPRA registration, a current CPR/First Aid cert, a valid driver’s licence, and a vehicle with insurance.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications and current AHPRA registration.
• Experience in an aged care or community setting.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to build relationships.
• Good time-management and clinical problem-solving abilities.
• Current Australian driver’s licence and a roadworthy vehicle with insurance.
• Ability to pass probity checks as required by policy.

• Employment Term: Permanent Full Time
• Location: Maryborough and Hervey Bay Regions
• Remuneration: $42.15 to $59.04 p/hr + Super + Not for Profit Salary Packaging (Increases your take home pay) + Allowances & Travel Reimbursement (KM’s) + Employee discounts + 5 Weeks Annual Leave

Your part in our Blue Care team

You’ll provide holistic, integrated care to our clients enhancing their mobility and movement to promote their independence and wellbeing. Working with a number of movement conditions associated with musculoskeletal impairments, medical conditions and chronic disease, you will tailor your care to make a real difference in your client's quality of life! You’ll Have The Opportunity To Develop New Treatment Programs, Helping Clients To Manage Their Movement, Pain, Balance And Manual Handling. This Will Include

• Diagnosing, assessing and developing care plans for individuals and groups
• Prescription and selection of appropriate adaptive equipment and modification
• Education and training on aspects of therapy for the clients and carers
• Goal setting activities, as well discharge and resolution planning
• Liaising with healthcare professionals, such as GPs, nurses and occupational therapists to ensure care plans are formulated and monitored

• Current Australian Drivers Licence and a road worthy vehicle with comprehensive insurance as required - Essential
• Confidence to satisfy the relevant probity checks required by legislation or policies
• Current CPR and First Aid
• Own reliable vehicle with kilometre reimbursement where a fleet car is not available
