Job description
Overview

You will work alongside the multi-disciplinary team to provide clinical physiotherapy to clients/patients using evidence based clinical practice skills. Our areas of speciality include inpatient & outpatient rehabilitation, orthopaedics, surgical, general medicine, oncology, and ICU. Rotation throughout these wards is available along with mentoring and supervision for graduates and Grade 1s.

We are currently hiring for a casual position, and the role requires candidates who are available to work on weekends. Shifts will be rostered Monday to Friday 8.30am to 4.36pm with one weekend every 4 weeks (approximately); weekend shift times vary and will be 4 to 7.6 hours in length.

The Position
  • Provide high quality evidence-based physiotherapy assessments and treatments for all patients/clients, including the provision of hydrotherapy treatments where applicable.
  • Using patient-centred care, work with the patient to develop appropriate physiotherapy treatment goals and plans for all patients/clients.
  • Ensure that direct working relationships are established and maintained with multi-disciplinary colleagues and internal/external customers, including active participation in multidisciplinary team meetings.
  • Use evidence-based patient treatment outcome measures and patient feedback satisfaction measures and quality assurance activities.
  • Participate in the physiotherapy department weekend roster if required.
  • Assist with education and training programs for students as requested.
  • Responsible for completing appropriate administrative duties arising from each session, including liaison with the office administration team, reporting of statistical data, and completion of clinical documentation.

You will need current registration with the Physiotherapy Board of Australia (AHPRA) and experience in provision of Physiotherapy services in relevant clinical settings including the provision of hydrotherapy treatments.

  • Salary: $44.68 to $61.78 per hour (casual loading included) plus 12% superannuation (Grade 1)
