Job summary

Royal Rehab LifeWorks Community in Queensland is seeking a Physiotherapist to support clients to build mobility, function and independence across musculoskeletal, neurological and orthopaedic rehabilitation. Based in our state-of-the-art facility, you’ll have a varied caseload with multidisciplinary support and opportunities for professional development.

You will deliver assessments and treatment in community settings, work autonomously, and participate in education and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Current AHPRA registration and eligibility to practise in Australia.
• Experience in neurological and/or orthopaedic rehabilitation.
• Ability to work autonomously in community settings.
• Excellent communication and multidisciplinary teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver physiotherapy assessment, treatment and rehabilitation in community settings.
• Manage a varied caseload including neurological and orthopaedic presentations.
• Develop individualised, goal-focused rehabilitation programs.
• Provide mobility, balance, strengthening, gait and functional rehab.
• Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team and external stakeholders.
• Monitor outcomes and maintain high-quality clinical documentation.
• Contribute to clinical education and continuous improvement.

About The Role

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver physiotherapy assessment, treatment and rehabilitation in community settings.
• Manage a varied caseload including neurological and orthopaedic presentations.
• Develop individualised, goal-focused rehabilitation programs.
• Provide mobility, balance, strengthening, gait and functional rehabilitation.
• Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team and external stakeholders.
• Monitor outcomes and maintain high-quality clinical documentation.
• Contribute to clinical education, supervision and continuous improvement.

Essential Requirements

• Current AHPRA registration as a Physiotherapist.
• Demonstrated experience in neurological and/or orthopaedic rehabilitation.
• Strong clinical reasoning and ability to work autonomously in the community.
• Excellent communication and multidisciplinary teamwork skills.
• Current unrestricted Australian driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle.

Desirable

• Community rehabilitation experience.
• Experience with NDIS, My Aged Care or complex disability.
• Experience with neurological conditions including stroke, Parkinson's disease, MS or spinal cord injury.
• Experience with orthopaedic and musculoskeletal rehabilitation.
• Experience with Workcover/Private insurer claims.
